Long time pal Rhysty Williams (the original founder of Backbone BMX in Australia) recently had a heavy crash while racing a couple of weeks ago. The list of his injuries is both very serious, and quite extensive to say the least. There is a good amount more info Tyson has posted about it on the Backbone site and IG account. It’s almost impossible to relate to all that can be involved with the life changes that come with a situation like this. Some are presently obvious, some rare their heads later. None the less, he needs our help (even though he would never ask himself). So I’m auctioning off a Barcode frame I swore I would never get ride of. This is a 2010, Solid made 21” Barcode. While I was in Australia for our little T-1 “Let’s Didgeridoo This” trip back in 2011, good friend Leah Brideson hand painted the top tube for me. I gave her my bike one night, and when I got it back the next morning, she had adorned it with some of her beautiful artwork. It quickly became one of my prized possessions . . . but, this just feels right at the moment. Now someone else will get to cherish it like I did, and I’ll get to share that goodness with a friend in need. Every cent from this will be passed on to help Rhysty out.
